Drew Homer Simpson completely freehand! I looked at a reference off my phone while I drew him on my tablet, but I wanted to work on getting better at drawing characters totally on-model. My goal was to make it look so good you'd think it was an official image. It's not perfect, but I'm really happy with how he turned out! (Second image is my rough sketch) Credit to Matt Groening obviously for the absolute baller of a Character Design.

After like a full year, I finally got around to finishing my Rocketeer Helmet replica!

Originally 3D printed by Salgado3DBuilds on Etsy, I ordered this thing as a birthday present to myself and sanded it down.

I spray painted it gold, and then used Antique Gold Rub n' Buff on it. Then I washed w/ brown & green paint.

I ordered some lenses online and took a heat gun to them to shape them correctly. Added a wire mesh screen behind the mouth piece, & added a leather chin strap.

Last thing I did was add the bullet grazing mark on the side & the fin!

I'm super happy with how it turned out! Now it'll go up on my shelf, never to be touched again! 🚀
